The messages were part of a lawsuit Lively filed against her It Ends With Us director and co-star, Justin Baldoni.

A source close to Lively has since responded to these harsh messages, telling TMZ that the exchange is disappointing. They argued that instead of listening to women when they speak out, others are simply calling them names. They also claimed these attacks were being done to defend a fake male feminist.

The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni is incredibly intense, with Lively seeking $161 million in damages. She has accused him of sexual harassment on set, while Baldoni has consistently denied all claims. A judge recently pushed the trial date back to May 18, to make room for other court cases.
