Jamie Lee Curtis Accuses Ice of Being Used To Distract the Public From Epstein Files
Jamie Lee Curtis is making it clear that her voice is just as powerful as her presence on the screen. The Oscar-winning actress recently made headlines during an appearance at a grand opening for Project Angel Food in Hollywood on Thursday, Feb. 5. While helping to unveil the new Chuck Lorre Family Foundation Kitchen & Campus, Curtis took the opportunity to vent her frustrations with current political leadership.
She admitted to being angrier than I’ve ever been as she spoke out against the administration’s treatment of vulnerable citizens. During her fiery remarks at the podium, the actress called for collective action and unity to face modern challenges.
She told the gathered crowd that progress would only happen if people decided to do it together and stand up against those in power. Curtis specifically pointed to recent enforcement tactics by ICE as a major point of concern, labeling the situation simply a distraction from other high-profile legal files.
Her comments were met with significant applause from the attendees, who were there to celebrate the massive expansion of the non-profit’s facilities. Project Angel Food has been a cause close to her heart for decades, beginning as a service for those living with HIV and AIDS.
Today, it delivers over 1.5 million medically tailored meals a year to residents across Los Angeles who are battling life-threatening illnesses. The new campus was made possible by a $10 million donation from television creator Chuck Lorre, and it even features a volunteer center named after Curtis and her husband, Christopher Guest.
