Jason Momoa found himself in the middle of a dangerous storm in Hawaii and shared an emotional video about the experience. The “Aquaman” actor posted on Instagram about the severe weather hitting Oahu, which caused landslides, fallen trees, and rising waters. The storm forced many residents to evacuate their homes.

Momoa explained that he and his family had to leave Oahu’s North Shore after losing power where they were staying. In his video, he said, “We’re safe now, but there’s a lot of people who weren’t, so sending all our love.”

He and his girlfriend also shared a photo on Instagram showing them hugging inside a house. They wrote about how the storms have affected the island over the past weeks, saying they have seen “families displaced and communities struggling, and our unhoused neighbors hit the hardest.” They encouraged locals to check on neighbors to make sure everyone is safe.

The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency warned that the storm is still ongoing and heavy rain could threaten Oahu’s Wahiawa dam. Hawaii Governor Josh Green reported that so far, there have been no deaths from the storm, although there were “a few serious injuries.” Other officials said around ten people were treated for hypothermia and 230 residents have been rescued.

Jason Momoa and the people of Hawaii are dealing with a lot as the storm continues. TMZ notes that residents are facing dangerous conditions, but Momoa and his loved ones are safe.

This situation really shows the strength and resilience of the community in Hawaii. I wonder what you think about how celebrities like Jason Momoa respond and help during natural disasters. Share your thoughts in the comments.
