I really love my job. I chase those moments where it all comes together and I feel connected to what I’m doing and open and surprised, she told Flaunt, sharing how she still finds inspiration in her work. And look, it doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does, it really makes it worth it. This year, Garner returns to Apple TV+ with the second season of The Last Thing He Told Me. She reprises her role as Hannah Hall, a talented wood-turner whose life was thrown into chaos after her husband disappeared.
The new season, which premiered on February 20, jumps five years ahead, following Hannah and her stepdaughter Bailey as they try to start fresh in Los Angeles. But trouble returns when Owen comes back, putting them in the middle of a dangerous race against a crime family.
The cast for season two has grown to include Rita Wilson as Hannah’s estranged mother and Judy Greer as a new rival. Garner’s reunion with Greer has been particularly exciting for fans, given their long friendship and past collaboration in 13 Going on 30. In addition to acting, Garner works as an executive producer on the show alongside Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine.
Outside of television, Garner is preparing for the Netflix comedy One Attempt Remaining, directed by Kay Cannon. The film follows a divorced couple who must come together to recover a password for a massive cryptocurrency fortune. Production is ongoing in spring 2026. Despite her busy schedule, Garner balances her professional life with her role as a devoted mother to her three children.
