Jennifer Lawrence Admits She’s “Obsessed” With This Actor

Jennifer Lawrence is famous for her huge roles in the Hunger Games movies, but she has also spent a lot of time working on award-winning films like Joy and Mother!. Even though she is a big star, she still gets really nervous around other actors she loves. In an old interview with Vanity Fair, she admitted that she has a hard time staying cool when she sees someone she is a fan of.

Once I’m obsessed with somebody, I’m terrified of them instantly, Lawrence said when talking about her feelings. She explained that it is not really the other person that scares her, but more about how she might act. She told a funny story about a time she was being introduced to Bill Maher. As soon as Meryl Streep walked into the room, she completely ignored him. She said she put her hand in his face and told him, Not now, Bill! while she just stood there looking at Streep.

Lawrence never actually got the courage to go talk to her that day. Instead, she said, I just creepily stared at her. Luckily, she eventually got a real chance to work with her hero in the 2021 movie Don’t Look Up. This movie was a satire about the environment and it had a massive cast. Along with Streep, Lawrence worked with Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, and Ariana Grande.

Since then, Jennifer Lawrence has been keeping very busy with new projects in 2026. She recently starred in a movie called Die, My Love, which came out late last year and earned her a Golden Globe nomination. In that film, she plays a woman living in a remote area who is struggling with her mind and her marriage. The movie was directed by Lynne Ramsay and also stars Robert Pattinson and LaKeith Stanfield.
