Jesse Eisenberg brought a little magic to the streets of New York City this past weekend to promote his upcoming film Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.

The 42-year-old actor and director surprised fans at Hudson Yards on Saturday, October 25, performing a card trick alongside New York-based magician Noah Levine. Some lucky onlookers even received tickets to an early screening of the movie.

Eisenberg plays J. Daniel “Danny” Atlas, the leader of the Four Horsemen, in the third installment of the popular heist film series. Now You See Me: Now You Don’t continues the story of the illusionist team as they recruit three new skilled magicians for a daring heist to steal the world’s largest queen diamond from a dangerous crime family.

The movie brings back familiar faces, including Woody Harrelson as Merritt McKinney, Dave Franco as Jack Wilder, Isla Fisher as Henley Reeves, and Morgan Freeman as retired magician Thaddeus Bradley. New additions to the cast include Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike, who plays the main villain, Veronika Vanderberg.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the film is written by Michael Lesslie, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Seth Grahame-Smith, based on a story by Lesslie and Eric Warren Singer. Lionsgate plans to release it in the United States on November 14, and reports indicate that a sequel may already be in development.

Eisenberg’s street magic stunt gave fans a taste of the movie’s excitement before its release. “It was so cool to see him do that right in front of us,” one fan told reporters. “Getting a chance to see the magic live and walk away with tickets to the movie was amazing.”
