Jessica Biel Turns Heads in Plunging Nensi Dojaka Gown at the ‘Matchbox’ London Premiere
Jessica Biel has been on a whirlwind promotional run for her latest film. The 44-year-old actress has spent months championing ‘Matchbox: The Movie’, an action-comedy inspired by Mattel’s iconic line of die-cast toy cars.
The tour kicked off in earnest on October 5, when the cast gathered at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater for the film’s New York City premiere. Biel wore Dolce&Gabbana for that event, while her husband, Justin Timberlake, arrived at the theater to support her in a teal green blazer, though he skipped the red carpet photos.
Just 2 days later, Biel crossed the Atlantic and delivered another standout look. On October 7, she attended the film’s special screening in London wearing a dramatic black Nensi Dojaka gown.
The strapless black maxi dress featured a striking cut-out design with a deep center opening. A slim cut-out at the waist added another modern touch, while the column skirt kept the overall shape sleek and elegant.
Biel paired the gown with black pointed heels and statement gold earrings. She wore her hair pulled back into a high, voluminous ponytail, letting the architectural lines of the dress take center stage.

Against the bold red carpet and the film’s metallic logo backdrop, the minimalist black look stood out. Fans online praised the confident styling as one of her strongest red carpet moments of the press tour.
Biel wasn’t alone on the London carpet. Her co-star John Cena, 49, attended alongside his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh, and the couple shared an affectionate moment in front of photographers. Cena had also brought Shariatzadeh to the New York premiere earlier in the week. Their appearances added a sweet, personal touch to the film’s promotional push.

Directed by Sam Hargrave, known for the ‘Extraction’ films, the movie follows a group of childhood friends whose lives are upended when their long-absent former leader returns to their small town. That leader is Sean, an undercover CIA agent played by Cena, who unwittingly drags them into a frantic international chase to save the world.
Biel plays Aimee, one of the old friends caught up in the adventure. The ensemble also includes Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, Teyonah Parris, Corey Stoll, Bill Camp, Danai Gurira, Golshifteh Farahani, Daniel Bernhardt and Randeep Hooda.
The script was written by David Coggeshall, with Matt Westbrook also credited as a writer. Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger produced the film, alongside Robbie Brenner and Ynon Kreiz of Mattel Studios.
Parts of the movie were filmed in Casablanca, Morocco. The finished film runs 2 hours and 6 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action, as well as language. ‘Matchbox: The Movie’ premieres on Apple TV on October 9. The release makes it one of the streamer’s big fall offerings and marks another major entry in Mattel’s growing slate of toy-inspired films.
For Biel, the London screening caps an exciting week. With the film arriving on streaming in just days, her bold red carpet style has helped keep the buzz high. Fans responded warmly to the London photos, with many saying Biel looked radiant and confident. Others noted how effortlessly she pulled off such a daring silhouette.
As the press tour winds down, the Nensi Dojaka gown is likely to remain one of its most memorable looks. Fans will soon find out whether the film itself delivers the same kind of impact.
