John Krasinski Is Voicing Superman In DC’s League of Super-Pets
DC fans have a lot to look forward to. Many anticipated movies, like The Flash, The Batman, Black Adam, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and Shazam: Fury of the Gods are only some of the projects that DC fans can’t wait to experience in theaters in the next two years. But, one project that shouldn’t be forgotten in that whole bush is DC’s League of Super-Pets, an animated movie which is set to hit theaters next May.
Most, well, not most, almost every animated DC movie in the last two decades only had a direct-to-video release, but League of Super-Pets will have a theatrical release, and it will debut on HBOMax 45 days after its premiere date in theaters, which will be on May 20, 2022.
League of Super-Pets has assembled an amazing cast. Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Keanu Reeves. Dwayne Johnson is voicing Krypto the Superdog, Superman’s dog, and Superman will be voiced by John Krasinski, as actor confirmed on Twitter, sharing the excitement that he’s working on the project with Johnson.
“Always wanted to do a buddy movie with @TheRock . Well, these are the roles we were born to play! (FYI… DJ’s the one with the tongue).”

Written and directed by Jared Stern, DC’s League of Super-pets will show how would the pets owned by respective Justice League members save the world without their owners. Krypto is known as a dog with the powers of Superman, and the character also has a live-action incarnation on DC’s Titans. Batman’s dog Ace should also sound familiar to you, especially if you watched the Batman Beyond animated series.
The pets of DC superheroes form a crime-fighting team of their own. The titular League of Super-Pets include: Superman’s dog, Krypto; Batman’s dog, Ace; Wonder Woman’s pig, PB; The Flash’s turtle, Merton; and Green Lantern’s squirrel, Chip.
