Our comparison is going to be divided into three sections. Finally, we’re going to bring you a detailed analysis of the two characters to determine which one would win in a direct clash.

John Wick and his powers

He was born in the Soviet Union as Jardani Jovononich. He was an orphan who was taken to a criminal organization called Russia’s Roma, led by The Director. He was raised in New York, where he was taught a lot of martial arts, weapons, and foreign languages. After growing up, he left the organization, changed his name to John Wick, and began his career as a hitman.

He has built a strong reputation as a ruthless assassin who will fulfill any contract. Thanks to this, the Russian mobster who leads the group Tarasov Mob, which is one of the strongest criminal groups in New York in this film, will gain a lot of acquaintances around the world, such as Winston or Viggo Tarasov. John joins this group and starts working for it.

At this time, he also meets the beautiful Helen, whom he falls in love with and wants to settle down with her. So he asks Viggo if he could leave his group, and Viggo gives him an “impossible” order that no one could fulfill. John goes to the Italian mobster Santino D’Antoine, who will help him, but he has to make a bloody contract with him, thanks to which John swears to help him with whatever Santino wants.

After fulfilling this order, John is free and ends up working as a hitman, marries Helen, and starts living with her. But Helen soon dies of a terminal illness. After this event, John closes down and starts living alone.

As Viggo once said, John always goes hard for his, uncompromising, strong-willed goals. John Wick is shown as a very confident person who knows his abilities and makes full use of them. He is not afraid of anything and flocks to all the challenges that lie ahead. He is highly respected by all, as a person against whom it is not worth going. The film also confirms that he adores dogs.

Thanks to his learning, he is able to use a lot of martial arts and can use practically all weapons. However, he does not limit himself only to weapons, but thanks to his sophistication he can cope in any situation, which captures the famous story about him, how he once killed three men at a bar with an ordinary pencil and in the third part kills a taller, obviously stronger man with books.

Agent 47 and his powers

Agent 47 is a hitman who works for the ICA, or the “Agency”, an underground organization employing assassins. Originally, 47 was a genetically engineered clone (has 47 chromosomes) created to kill, created by Dr. Otto Ort-Meyer. He is one of a long line of clones, who look the same as him but are blindly obedient.

Although he uses many aliases in the course of his missions, 47 does not have a real name. The number 47 was assigned to him because of his barcode tattooed on the back of his neck (640509-040147), consisting of his date of birth (September 5, 1964) and a serial number indicating that he is the 47th clone created by Ort-Meyer.

Agent 47 has his own badge which is a stylized version of the fleur-de-lis, usually offered at funerals. He appears watermarked throughout the games but appears physically in Hitman: Hitman on the Ort-Meyer Asylum portal and in his lab, as well as on 47 gear like his AMT Hardballer pistols or on his laptop.

Although without special power, 47 has been programmed to be a killing machine. Endowed with a calculating intelligence, he is also more athletic than a normal human being and possesses sufficient physical resistance to allow him to take several balls without dying. 47 knows how to wield a very wide range of weapons, but his weapon of choice is always the discreet piano wire with which he strangles his targets.

Ranged, his default weapon is the Silverballer, a custom AMT Hardballer pistol. While it’s not much of a skill, 47 can steal enemy uniforms to get closer to targets. His formidable efficiency makes him the best killer in the Agency that employs him. Known for performing his contracts, even the most difficult, with discretion, his stealth and skill make him an urban legend.

Very few people know what it looks like, and the few who have discovered it have not lived long enough to disclose it. Diana remains to this day the only person to have managed to trap 47.

John Wick vs Agent 47: Who would win?

And now for the most important and interesting section of our article – the analysis. Here, we are going to use what we have found out about these two characters and analyze how all these facts would (or would not) help them in a fight against each other. Let us continue.

It is a known fact that both John Wick and Agent 47 are masters of their respective trades. John Wick is a guy who can take on an army head-on and has survived despite being the world’s number one target. On the other hand, Agent 47 is an enhanced super-assassin and has survived through several video games using only his skills. The clash has to be analyzed from two perspectives.

One, if it were a head-on fight, John Wick would certainly be the winner. Yes, they’re both excellent marksmen and hand-to-hand fighters but John Wick certainly wins this one. The movies show that there is only a handful of characters that can actually take on John Wick directly and he has also managed to survive being attacked by a group. This is why he would win against Hitman here.

On the other hand, if Hitman had the advantage of using his stealth abilities, he would certainly defeat Wick. Wick is great heads-on, but when he doesn’t know where his opponent is – and Agent 47 is an absolute master in this aspect – he wouldn’t be able to do much.

This is why we put this one down as a draw. Namely, their powers would certainly annul each other, and ultimately, since they both have specific advantages in their preferred styles of combat, they would exhaust each other until neither of them could stand, but there wouldn’t be a clear winner here.
