Two more big names are joining the cast of Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, Paramount and director Ti West’s new version of Charles Dickens’ classic tale.

Ian McKellen and Tramell Tillman will be part of the film, which stars Johnny Depp in the lead role of Ebenezer Scrooge. Andrea Riseborough is also confirmed for the project. Paramount has set a release date for November 13, 2026.

The movie will follow Scrooge on a supernatural journey, confronting his past, present, and future, giving him a chance at redemption. Sources suggest that Tillman may play the Ghost of Christmas Present, but McKellen’s role has not yet been revealed.

Nathaniel Halpern wrote the script, and Emma Watts is producing. Stephen Deuters and Jason Forman are executive producers, joined by Adam Bohling and David Reid.

This new take promises to bring a thrilling twist to the classic ghost story, combining Depp’s Scrooge with a talented supporting cast. Fans are already excited to see how Ti West brings his style to Dickens’ London and the supernatural elements of the story.
