Fans usually know Jon Bernthal for his brutal fights as the Punisher, but a new video shows a very different side of him. This time, he is not chasing criminals. He is playing basketball, and he looks just as intense.

The video first appeared on Instagram, where a user shared a clip of the actor playing a pickup game at the famous Venice Beach Basketball Courts. The post quickly spread online as more fans started sharing it.

In the clip, Bernthal is wearing a hoodie, jeans, and combat boots, and moving fast across the court. He plays with a lot of energy, almost like he is still in character. People watching the game were clearly surprised by how competitive he was.

Eric Nash, who posted the video, added a caption that caught a lot of attention. It read, “@jonnybernthal 1v1 with the punisher he is not a walk over I tell u that”. That line helped push the video even further, as fans loved the idea of facing the Punisher in a real-life game.

This moment comes during a very busy period in his career. Bernthal recently received major praise for his role in The Bear, where he plays Michael Berzatto. His performance even earned him a Primetime Emmy Awards win, which brought him even more attention.

He is also working on other projects. One of them is the recently released Netflix thriller His & Hers, where he stars alongside Tessa Thompson. At the same time, fans are still focused on his return as the Punisher.

He already came back to the Marvel world in Daredevil: Born Again, where he shared the screen again with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Even though he will not appear in the second season, there is more coming soon.

Bernthal is set to lead a new special called The Punisher: One Last Kill, which is expected to arrive in May. The story will continue his journey as Frank Castle and connect to future Marvel projects.

After that, he will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day alongside Tom Holland. In that film, the Punisher is expected to go after Spider-Man, which already has fans talking.

All of this shows that Bernthal is not slowing down. Whether he is acting in big movies or just playing a game at the beach, he brings the same energy every time. The video from Venice Beach proves one thing very clearly. He is not someone you want to underestimate, even in a simple 1v1 game.
