Kaley Cuoco has recently peeled back the curtain on a period of profound emotional struggle, identifying April 2022 as the absolute lowest point of her life. During a vulnerable appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast in February, the actress recounted the heavy atmosphere that surrounded the final months of her marriage to equestrian Karl Cook.

Still residing in their shared home just weeks before their divorce was finalized, Cuoco described being on the floor sobbing as she grappled with the terrifying thought that she had ruined her whole life.

The weight of her personal collapse was so significant that it bled into her professional obligations, making her feel as though the path ahead was too complicated to navigate. She recalled moments where she felt utterly despondent, even questioning if her career and happiness had reached a permanent end.

Despite the intensity of that time, Cuoco was quick to clarify that she harbors no ill will toward Cook, referring to him as amazing and emphasizing that she has nothing negative to say about their three years together.

Hope returned to her life with surprising speed, arriving just two weeks later when she attended the premiere of the Netflix series Ozark. It was there that she met her now-fiancé, Tom Pelphrey, a meeting she seemingly manifested after a premonition while looking at his social media.

Cuoco recalled texting her best friend that she was about to meet the man she would spend the rest of her life with, a prediction that came true almost immediately. The couple’s whirlwind romance led to the birth of their daughter, Matilda, whose third birthday they are preparing to celebrate in March.
