Kate Bishop’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Return Seemingly Confirmed by a Sneaky Trailer Detail
Marvel has been rolling out footage for its next crossover event in carefully staged pieces, and fans hunting for a Kate Bishop ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ return may have just found their answer. The film hits theaters on December 18, with Robert Downey Jr. debuting as Doctor Doom.
The marketing push started at CinemaCon in April, when the first trailer was shown exclusively to the room. A brief moment of Scott Lang kissing his daughter Cassie on the forehead led Kathryn Newton to officially confirm her return, even though she had been left out of the earlier cast reveal.
Now, the newest version of that footage has fans looking closer. According to Avengers Updates, the ScreenX version of the trailer shows that Scott and Cassie Lang meet in Kate Bishop’s apartment.
The immersive format expands the image beyond the usual frame, revealing extra details around Paul Rudd’s Scott as he embraces his daughter. ComicBook.com noted that the wider view makes it clear the pair are standing in Kate’s home, which strongly suggests the Young Avenger is coming back.
That ScreenX trailer was the 3rd to arrive, debuting exclusively in theaters and focusing heavily on the original ‘X-Men’ film cast. The first 2 trailers drew mixed reactions online, with fans split between excitement for Downey’s Doom and frustration over cameo-heavy beats.

The apartment detail lines up neatly with earlier reports. Insider Majestic claimed that Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, and Cassie Lang would appear in small roles, with some of those characters sharing just one scene together in an apartment.
Majestic also said Ms. Marvel would have the most significant role of the group. Back in February, Nerd Tower added that a scene was filmed in Kate’s apartment and that Kamala Khan was the only one in uniform.

The pieces fit with ‘The Marvels’, which teased Kamala recruiting Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate for a new superhero team. That same scene hinted Cassie was next on Kamala’s list of potential teammates.
It’s worth stressing that the apartment isn’t official confirmation. Still, ComicBook.com argued that it’s probably as close to direct confirmation as fans will get before the film’s December release.
Kate was set up as an important character, but like many heroes introduced on Disney+, she has largely faded from view since. A return in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ would also be her first substantial big-screen appearance in the MCU.

There’s another bonus in play. The film could reunite Kate with Yelena, and their dynamic was one of the highlights of ‘Hawkeye’. Fans have been waiting for a long time to see the Young Avengers finally assemble. Cassie Lang, Hulkling, America Chavez, and Kate Bishop have all already appeared in the MCU, and Speed makes his official debut in ‘VisionQuest’.
Rumors have suggested Cassie could eventually team up with Kate, Ironheart, America Chavez and Kamala Khan. With 3 potential members reportedly sharing a scene in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, the groundwork seems to be taking shape.
Majestic also hinted that Marvel may have bigger plans for these heroes in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. That film is set to arrive a year later, on December 17, 2027. The Young Avengers tease is just one thread in a packed movie. The trailers have shown heroes across the multiverse, including 2 sets of Avengers, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.
Directed by the Russo brothers, who previously made ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’, the film is part of Phase 6 of the MCU. Plot details remain closely guarded, which is why every trailer frame is getting picked apart. If the ScreenX footage is any indication, one small scene in Kate’s apartment could carry big consequences for the MCU’s next generation.
