Kate Hudson brought her signature glamour to the 63rd Annual ICG Publicists Awards on Friday at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. The 46-year-old actress wowed in a strapless metallic silver gown that hugged her figure, featuring a crinkled texture inspired by aluminum foil and a structured hip design that highlighted her curves.

She paired the look with black patent leather pumps that matched the neckline detail of her dress, keeping accessories minimal with just a pair of statement silver and black earrings.

Hudson kept her makeup classic and natural, letting her blonde hair flow freely over her shoulders. Her red carpet appearance was a perfect balance of bold fashion and effortless elegance.

At the ceremony, Hudson was honored with the Motion Picture Showperson of the Year Award for her work in film over the years. She accepted the award from fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow and spoke about the magic of the movie industry. “Making movies is an extraordinary process. It doesn’t end when we wrap,” Hudson said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“We are also tasked with bringing that magic to audiences, and publicity is a huge part of that. I’m the showperson and you’re the ship.”

The award comes just days ahead of the 98th Academy Awards, where Hudson is up for Best Actress for her role as Claire Sardina in Song Sung Blue. This marks her first Oscar nomination in 25 years since she was recognized in 2001 for Almost Famous. In the late-2025 biographical musical drama, Hudson stars alongside Hugh Jackman in a story based on the Milwaukee-based Neil Diamond tribute act Lightning & Thunder.

Hudson’s stepfather, Kurt Russell, shared his excitement about her nomination with AARP’s Movies for Grownups. “She’s up for her second Oscar. Goldie won one and was nominated twice. If Kate were to win, she and Goldie would share that, which would be a wonderful thing,” he said. Russell also confirmed he had changed his travel plans to be at the Oscars to support her.

Talking about Hudson and the talent in the family, Russell said, “She’s a great, fabulous person with a lot of talent. We all pretty much realize how fortunate we are. Because you’re going to have a lot of things happen to you in life that are not good [and] not fun. There are down times. There are tragedies. But I like staying around for as long as I can because I like it.”

He also reflected on his 43-year relationship with Hudson’s mother, Goldie Hawn, adding, “She’s not the type of person that wears on you. She’s just a blast. I mean, she’s completely unique. She’s a one-off, and I just feel incredibly lucky to have had the years and times that I’ve had with Goldie. We’ve shared a wonderful life.”

Kate Hudson’s appearance at the ICG Publicists Awards was a mix of glamour, elegance, and family pride. Her metallic silver gown turned heads on the red carpet, and the special honor she received highlighted her long-standing contribution to Hollywood.

It’s clear that Hudson is entering the Oscars with style, talent, and family support in her corner. Her metallic look was bold, eye-catching, and perfectly suited for the season of celebrations.
