Before the ceremony, Hudson told USA TODAY she was “thrilled, excited and grateful” about her nomination. “It really hasn’t sunk in totally yet, but it’s going to at some point,” she said. This marks her second Oscar nod, her first being in 2000 for Best Supporting Actress for Almost Famous.
