Kate Hudson Stuns on the Cover of Variety in Honor of Variety’s Power of Women

Variety has announced the honorees for its upcoming Power of Women issue, set to release on Wednesday, October 29, with an event taking place the same evening in Beverly Hills.

In partnership with Lifetime, the event celebrates women making an impact in entertainment and highlights those featured in Variety’s annual Women’s Impact Report.

This year’s honorees include some of Hollywood’s most accomplished women. Jamie Lee Curtis, an Oscar and Emmy Award-winning actress, will appear on the cover while promoting her upcoming 20th Century Studios film Ella McCay, opening in theaters on December 12.

Curtis also produced The Lost Bus alongside Jason Blum, which hits theaters on September 19 and Apple TV+ on October 3. She is supporting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Kate Hudson, an Academy Award-nominated actress and Golden Globe winner, also makes the cover. She stars in Focus Features’ Song Sung Blue, opening December 25, and is working as star and executive producer on the second season of Netflix’s Running Point. Hudson is supporting the World Food Programme (WFP).

Nicole Scherzinger, Tony Award-winning singer and frontwoman of The Pussycat Dolls, recently performed in Sunset Blvd and will make her Carnegie Hall debut on October 8. She is supporting Special Olympics.

Emmy Award-winning comedian and actress Wanda Sykes, who stars in and executive produces Netflix’s The Upshaws and is currently on her global Please & Thank You tour, is supporting the Ruth Ellis Center. Emmy-nominated actress and producer Sydney Sweeney, who appears in Black Bear’s biopic Christy on November 7 and Lionsgate’s thriller The Housemaid on December 19, is supporting the National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence.

Variety’s Power of Women event and issue celebrate these talented women not only for their achievements on screen and stage but also for the causes they support, highlighting the influence and impact of women across the entertainment industry.
