Kate Hudson’s (46) $6M la Home Bathroom Looks Like It Came Straight From a Popular Show
Kate Hudson has provided fans with a rare look inside her spectacular Los Angeles residence, highlighting a bathroom that radiates old-world elegance. The Oscar-nominated actress showcased an opulent space defined by a deep soaking tub equipped with refined gold fixtures.
Large bay windows allow natural light to flood the room while offering a serene view of the tiered landscaping and lush greenery in her backyard. The interior design choices, including delicate Austrian shades and framed family portraits, give the area a regal atmosphere reminiscent of a classic English estate.
This aesthetic likely stems from Hudson’s deep-seated affection for the United Kingdom, where she has spent considerable time over the years. She recently expressed this connection when acknowledging a prestigious British film award nomination for her latest work.

“England has always been a real home for my family and me, so this nomination feels like a love letter back to a place that’s given us so much. See you soon, London Town,” she shared with her followers.
Her history with the country includes years of residency during her previous engagement to musician Matt Bellamy. Her affinity for British culture is so strong that she once joked about establishing a day dedicated to Downton Abbey if she ever held local office in London.
The property itself holds immense sentimental value, as it is the same home where she spent her childhood years. Hudson originally bought the estate back from her mother, Goldie Hawn, and Kurt Russell in 2005 before expanding the footprint by acquiring the house next door in 2011.
This combined space serves as a central hub for her famous family, who all maintain residences in close proximity to one another. Her brother, Oliver Hudson, recently spoke about the immense pride the family feels as Kate navigates a massive resurgence in her acting career.
He noted that the current award season buzz surrounding her performance in Song Sung Blue feels like a significant full-circle moment. It has been over two decades since she first captured global attention with her breakout role in the film Almost Famous.
“It’s been a whirlwind, honestly. Especially for her, obviously, having to do the whole dog and pony show. This is nuts, and she hasn’t experienced this since Almost Famous [in 2001] – but now we’re all older, and we get to experience it with her, and for her to be celebrated is incredible,” Oliver remarked.
He reflected on how their family dynamic had shifted since they were both in their early twenties.“We were celebrating her, but I was a 24-year-old dude who was doing my own stuff instead,” he admitted when thinking back to her first major nomination.
He emphasized that while they appreciate professional accolades, the family remains grounded by prioritizing their personal bonds over industry status. They view the glitz of Hollywood as secondary to the genuine support they offer one another.
“That’s the beauty of our family, we celebrate each other, and we love what we do, but it’s not as important as other people might make it. We relish in the success of everyone’s accomplishments, but at the same time, it’s like, ‘Amazing, but you know there’s more important things… to be straight up!” he added.
Despite this relaxed attitude, Oliver confessed that he is personally rooting for her to take home the trophies.“Do we want to win? She doesn’t care. But I care! I do, and I don’t even know why because, truly, art is so subjective.
But I think that people need to recognize the difficulty of a role like this, and she does it with grace and beauty, and her voice is amazing, and she just hits all the notes,” he concluded. The film Song Sung Blue features Hudson as a Neil Diamond tribute performer alongside Hugh Jackman.
Hudson has recently focused on her music career, releasing her debut studio album, Glorious, in 2024. She is also currently starring in a Netflix series created by Mindy Kaling, Running Point, where she plays the president of a professional basketball team.
