We’re now well past the halfway point of Agatha All Along, Agatha’s solo series that serves as a spinoff to WandaVision. In WandaVision, Agatha primarily played the role of a villain, though there were subtle hints of deeper motivations.

The initial episodes of this new series suggested that Agatha might be headed for some sort of redemption arc by the conclusion. However, as we approach the finale, it seems increasingly likely that something tragic awaits her.

Regardless, Agatha All Along is finally unveiling the supernatural side of the MCU, brimming with occult themes, magic, and demons. While Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch have played significant roles in the MCU, their stories primarily connected to the larger Avengers narrative, often sidelining the focus on magic itself.

With a host of new characters, concepts, and threats introduced, we can’t help but wonder what lies ahead for Agatha if she survives the series. Who better to provide insight than Kathryn Hahn, the show’s star?

During her recent appearance on Happy Sad Confused, Hahn addressed several questions about her potential future in the MCU.

She referenced Agatha’s comic history as a governess to Reed Richards and Sue Storm’s son, Franklin, and discussed the exciting opportunity to incorporate more grounded and experienced witches into MCU films, especially since Scarlet Witch has been portrayed as a relatively untrained witch thus far.

I keep thinking about witches, and this is the first time an old-school, learned witch that learned from their mother’s covens their grandmother’s covens, like, these are the first witches that are, like, rooted to the earth. Y’know, the Scarlet Witch is is so untrained. She’s born with this incredible chaos and magic…

Hahn expressed her belief that witches could be a fantastic addition to the MCU. She likened her introduction as Agatha to “coming in through a side door,” implying that her entry into the franchise is distinct and refreshing.

I think the witches are a really great… A really great, great way in anywhere. And I also- That’s why, when it was a witch that I was proposed to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I was like… It really felt wicked stepsister-y, like we were getting away with something, coming in through, like, a side door.

We were like, ‘Don’t mind me!’ Because it really did feel like, when is someone gonna pull the plug?”

The actress sees great potential for bringing Agatha and her coven of witches into various ensembles of MCU characters, believing it could lead to some exciting interactions.

But I do think that there, there is… would be a lot of potential fun in just dropping a witch into any grouping.

But is that truly the case? While it’s possible to drop any character into any setting, it doesn’t guarantee that it will make sense or work well. We know that Ironheart aims to blend magic and technology, especially with the planned introduction of Mephisto, but it’s still uncertain how effectively that will be executed.

In the end, Agatha might have a future in two unconfirmed Marvel projects that are still in the early stages. The first is the anticipated Wiccan solo movie, which is expected to adapt the Children’s Crusade storyline and focus on the quest for Tommy Maximoff, also known as Speed.

The second potential project is the rumored Midnight Sons movie, which is set to bring together a legendary team in the MCU to combat supernatural threats. Additionally, Agatha could make a brief appearance in Secret Wars, though it would likely be a minor cameo given the current information about the film.
