Keanu Reeves is setting the record straight about whether he’ll return as John Wick in another movie. While promoting his new motorcycle docuseries Visionaries, the beloved actor addressed the possibility of more John Wick films.

When asked about the franchise’s future, Reeves didn’t hesitate. “Oh my gosh, well, there’s a version of it called Ballerina, which is in the John Wick world, and John Wick makes a brief appearance,” he shared. “So, other than that, I have no idea.”

As for whether he’d personally want to return, Reeves laughed and gave a clear answer: “You know, the character’s dead. He died in John Wick: Chapter 4.”

Fans who have followed the franchise know that John Wick: Chapter 4 ended with what seemed to be Wick’s final moment. However, in Hollywood, things are never set in stone. Reeves acknowledged this, saying, “I know, in Hollywood you can… I know, I know, it’s the Hollywood story. Right now, there isn’t.”

While John Wick’s story might be over, the universe continues to expand. Ballerina, a spin-off starring Ana de Armas, will feature Reeves in a small role. The film takes place between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Chapter 4, meaning fans will get to see Wick in action one more time.

There’s also the potential for more spin-offs and prequels. In 2023, The Continental, a limited series exploring the origins of the famous assassin hotel, was released. With the success of the franchise, more stories could be told in this world, even if John Wick himself is gone.

Right now, Reeves is focused on his new project, Visionaries. The docuseries, premiering on the Roku Channel on March 7, follows him and his business partner Gard Hollinger as they explore innovation and creativity.
