Kelsey Grammer is celebrating a new addition to his large family. The 70-year-old actor revealed on the Pod Meets World podcast, hosted by Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong, that he and his wife Kayte Walsh have welcomed their fourth child together, a baby boy named Christopher.

“It was like three days ago,” Grammer said. “Christopher just joined the family.”

Grammer and Walsh, 46, already share three children: daughter Faith, 12, and sons Gabriel, 10, and James, 8. Grammer is also a father to four older children from previous relationships.

His eldest daughter, Spencer Grammer, 41, from his first marriage to Doreen Alderman, has one son of her own. He also has daughter Greer, 33, with ex Barrie Buckner, and two children with his third wife, Camille Donatacci — daughter Mason, 22, and son Jude, 19.

The actor’s announcement comes months after news first broke in June that Walsh was expecting. At that time, the couple was spotted in London, with Walsh showing her baby bump in a long black dress while Grammer walked alongside her in casual summer attire.

Grammer has had a long and eventful personal life, with four marriages and a total of eight children. His first marriage to Doreen Alderman lasted from 1982 to 1990, though they were separated for the final six years.

Their daughter Spencer, born in 1983, went on to have a son in 2011. After Alderman, Grammer had Greer with Barrie Buckner, then had two children with Camille Donatacci, and finally began his family with Kayte Walsh.

He and Walsh married in February 2011, shortly after the end of his previous marriage. The couple has endured ups and downs, including a miscarriage before their first child together. They now have four children and recently moved to Portishead, Somerset, England, where they purchased a home in early 2023.

It’s clear that even at 70, Grammer remains actively involved in his family and embraces the joys, and challenges of being a father to a large, multi-generational household.
