Kevin McCall, the Grammy-nominated singer and producer known for his work with Chris Brown, has opened up about his current financial struggles and custody issues with ex-fiancée Eva Marcille.

In a recent emotional podcast, McCall revealed that he is now relying on EBT and cannot afford his $2,000 monthly child support payments.

The artist, who co-wrote and produced several of Chris Brown’s early hits, also made serious claims about his music career.

McCall said that his previous record deal with Brown’s team was not valid and alleged that he is owed $3 million in unpaid royalties. “I was supposed to get paid for my work, but none of it came through,” he said, visibly emotional during the podcast.

McCall and Eva Marcille, a former “America’s Next Top Model” winner and actress, share a daughter, Marley Rae.

Their relationship has been publicly strained for years, and the custody battle has added to McCall’s stress. He described feeling trapped between financial pressure and co-parenting responsibilities.

Fans quickly responded to McCall’s video, expressing concern for his situation and the challenges he’s facing in the music industry. Some highlighted the pressures artists face behind the scenes, especially regarding royalties and contracts. In a show of support, rapper Young Thug reportedly reached out to McCall in hopes of helping him financially.

Kevin McCall’s story highlights the difficulties many artists face in securing fair compensation for their work, even after achieving mainstream success. It also shows the personal toll that public custody disputes and financial strain can take on artists.
