‘Kill Jackie’ follows Jackie Price, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, a woman who spent twenty years living luxuriously and anonymously after escaping a past as an international drug smuggler. The revenge thriller runs for eight episodes and is based on ‘The Price You Pay’, a novel by Nick Harkaway, who writes under the name Aidan Truhen.

The ‘Kill Jackie’ release date is Friday, October 2, on AMC+ in the United States and on Prime Video in select international markets. Below is a look at when the series starts, where to watch it, and what the trailer and early critical response suggest.

Kill Jackie Release Date and Premiere Time

AMC+ has confirmed that the series premieres on Friday, October 2, 2026. Reports from the platform say new episodes arrive weekly after that. One outlet reports that the weekly rollout runs through mid-November.

Not every report describes the U.S. rollout the same way. One outlet says all eight episodes will become available on AMC+ on the premiere date. Since the weekly schedule appears in several other reports, viewers may want to check the AMC+ listing to see how episodes are released.

On Prime Video, all eight episodes arrive on October 2 in the U.K., Ireland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Canada. The sources reviewed for this piece do not give a specific hour for the premiere, so the app listing in your region is the best guide on the day.

Where to Watch Kill Jackie

In the United States, the show is an AMC+ original, so a subscription is required to watch it. It is a streaming exclusive and will not air on the AMC television channel. AMC holds exclusive U.S. streaming rights to the thriller.

In the U.K. and Ireland, all eight episodes are available on Prime Video. Prime membership costs £8.99 a month or £95 a year. That makes the series a straightforward binge for viewers in those regions.

It is not yet known whether the series will eventually land on the AMC channel at a later date. Until then, the streaming services remain the only confirmed routes to the show.

Kill Jackie Preview and Story

Jackie’s life takes a lethal turn when she learns that The Seven Demons, a squad of the world’s most terrifying hitmen, have been hired to kill her. Assuming someone from her past is behind it, she falls back on her old instincts and plans to take the Demons down one by one.

The premise sets up a hunter and hunted dynamic that gives the series a clear structure. Each of the Demons presents a fresh obstacle for a woman who has spent two decades trying to disappear.

The official synopsis adds that Jackie soon realizes her own demons are more terrifying than the killers on her trail, and that her buried secrets lead her closer to home. That suggests the story is as much about her history as it is about the assassins pursuing her.

The series comes from the creatives behind ‘Killing Eve’ and ‘Gangs of London’. It was co-created by ‘Gangs of London’ creatives Conor Keane and Tom Butterworth alongside Peter Lawson of ‘John Wick’ and Damon Thomas of ‘Killing Eve’.

Kill Jackie Cast and Early Reception

Zeta-Jones leads the cast, joined by Daniel Ings of ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ and ‘The Gentlemen’, Sidse Babett Knudsen of ‘Borgen’, Ron Perlman of ‘Hellboy’, and Bill Paterson of ‘Fleabag’. The ensemble also includes Julian Barratt, Óscar Jaenada, Raff Law, Christine Adams, Julian Rhind-Tutt and Jonathan Cake.

Zeta-Jones also works behind the scenes as an executive producer. Damon Thomas is lead directing, while Butterworth writes and serves as showrunner. Thomas and Dawn Shadforth split directing duties across the eight episodes.

The series has now appeared on Rotten Tomatoes, where critics are split with a score of 44% as of October 1. It has been described as a Guy Ritchie meets Quentin Tarantino style crime thriller. That divided response means viewers will likely decide for themselves once the episodes arrive.

With critics sitting at an even split before the first episode has aired, do you think Jackie Price taking on The Seven Demons in ‘Kill Jackie’ will win audiences over or leave them as divided as the early reviews?
