Kingdom is a Japanese anime series adapted from the manga written by Yasuhisa Hara. It accounts experiences of the war orphan Xin and his friends as he fights to unify China and become the greatest leader under the heavens.
The series was adapted into a three season anime television series and is based on a true story. It is the fictional adaptation of the Chinese period known as Warning States Period which ended in 221 BBC when Ying Zheng finally succeeded in unifying China.
Fans are expecting the fourth season for quite some time now, and it is finally settled that the season will premiere on April 9th, according to the official Twitter account of the franchise. It will unite both Studio Pierrot and Studio Signpost and will explore protagonist running into a new, deadly threats. The series is famous for its realistic portrayal of war and its heavy battle scenes which attracts the audience from the very beginning of the first season.
Yasuhira Hara, who was also an illustrator of the series is inviting fans to keep their patience just a bit more and is sure they won’t regret it.
