Kjersti Flaa Blasts Blake Lively Over ‘Not Supporting Women’ And Woody Allen Controversy Amid Baldoni Lawsuit
The conflict between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni started months ago during the filming of ‘It Ends With Us.’ After the movie wrapped, Lively accused Baldoni of harassing her on set.
Things calmed down for a while, but Lively later filed a legal complaint, turning it into one of the biggest celebrity controversies of the year, and eventually a Federal Lawsuit. Recently, Baldoni filed his own complaint, while Lively gained strong support from her co-stars and other celebrities.
But not everyone is so eager to support Lively. Journalist Kjersti Flaa has spoken out against what she calls “blind support” in the entertainment industry. She accused Blake Lively of hypocrisy over her connection to controversial filmmaker Woody Allen, sparking major reactions.
In a recent video, Kjersti Flaa criticized the entertainment industry for blindly supporting women without considering the full story. She called out Blake Lively for her ties to Woody Allen, pointing to the abuse allegations against him as a major issue. Flaa also mentioned ongoing lawsuits, including one involving Justin Baldoni, hinting that Lively could face legal trouble too.
While Baldoni has sued ‘The New York Times,’ he hasn’t yet sued Lively, though Flaa thinks he might soon. Lively has already escalated things by filing a federal lawsuit against Baldoni, going beyond a previous complaint. Flaa highlights this legal drama but shifts to a bigger issue—Lively’s public image and the controversy around it.
Flaa focused on Blake Lively’s connection to Woody Allen. Despite Allen facing long-standing abuse allegations, Lively worked with him on the film ‘Café Society.’ Flaa questions Lively’s choice to collaborate with him, given the controversy surrounding his reputation.
As you know, he was accused of abusing his stepdaughter Dylan Farrow. It was very public, and there was even a documentary about it. Her brother Ronan Farrow, who did a lot of the reporting on Harvey Weinstein, supported his sister.
Woody Allen went on to marry his other stepdaughter. My point is, everyone knew these accusations against Woody Allen, and a lot of people took a step back and refused to work with him. Blake Lively didn’t. So to me, that either proves she didn’t believe Dylan Farrow when she said she was abused by her father, or she did believe it, but she didn’t care and still wanted to work with Woody Allen.
Flaa argues that Blake Lively either didn’t believe Dylan Farrow’s abuse claims or ignored them for her career. She criticizes Lively for not supporting Farrow, saying this goes against the idea of standing with abuse victims.
Lively was already worried about her public image following the release of ‘It Ends With Us,’ and the alleged smear campaign by Justin Baldoni that it entailed. While the Hollywood public is behind Lively, bringing her dirty laundry from the past certainly won’t help and Lively is not the only celeb called out for their connection to Allen.
While working with him Lively rained praise on the controversial director calling him “Very empowering.”
