Kristen Stewart is opening up about life with her wife Dylan Meyer, less than a year after the couple tied the knot. In an interview with Esquire published on December 9, the 35-year-old actress reflected on the lessons she’s learned from marriage since their intimate ceremony at Los Angeles’ Casita Del Campo in April.

Stewart described her marriage as a source of stability and strength. “It’s so nice to have a family. It’s so nice to not be an unmoored individual,” she said. She praised Meyer, 38, for her sharp sense of judgment. “Dylan just does not suffer fools. I may not always seem like it, but I really am kind of a ‘nice guy.’ It’s just bolstering to be with someone that reminds you that your life is in your hands.”

The couple, who went public with their relationship in 2019 and got engaged in 2021, enjoy quiet, shared moments at home. Stewart revealed that she often reads aloud to Meyer, as well as to their two cats and one dog. “East of Eden, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter… To share them outside of yourself is salve,” Stewart said.

Despite the closeness, Stewart values alone time and carves out space for herself each morning. “I am so with people all the time. I’m an Aries, so it’s rare that I’m not in a group. I like to steal time and remind myself to be alone,” she explained.

Stewart’s personal life has been widely followed over the years. She publicly came out as bisexual in 2017, stating, “You’re not confused if you’re bisexual. It’s not confusing at all. For me, it’s quite the opposite.” She has also been open about past relationships, including high-profile romances with Robert Pattinson, Rupert Sanders, and Stella Maxwell. Since 2019, her relationship with Meyer has been steady, culminating in their wedding in April.

The couple shared glimpses of their celebration on social media, with close friends and family in attendance. Stewart continues to live in Los Angeles with Meyer, embracing the support and partnership that marriage brings.
