For more than a decade, Krysten Ritter has been the face of Jessica Jones. She was cast as the hard-drinking private investigator in December 2014 and first appeared in the role in ‘Jessica Jones’ in November 2015, later joining the team-up series ‘The Defenders’ in 2017.

After years away, Ritter returned to the role in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’. Fans may remember that at New York Comic Con 2025, she joined Charlie Cox on stage to confirm Jessica’s appearance in the show’s second season.

This year, Ritter was back at NYCC for an even bigger moment. On October 8, she appeared at Marvel’s panel at the Javits Center, joining Cox and Finn Jones as Marvel unveiled a first look at the third and final season of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’.

For the event, Ritter wore a vibrant red fit-and-flare mini dress featuring a bold black floral print and short sleeves. The flared skirt gave the look a playful, retro-inspired feel. She paired the dress with her signature long, dark hair and heavy bangs, finished with a bold red lip that echoed her outfit.

The red-and-black palette felt like a fitting nod to the darker, gritty corner of the Marvel universe her character inhabits. The look stood out against the NYCC backdrop, with fans quickly praising the outfit online. Many called it one of the most memorable red carpet moments of the convention.

Ritter’s appearance was part of a much-anticipated reunion. Cox, who plays Matt Murdock, was joined on stage by Ritter and Finn Jones, who plays Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist. Mike Colter, who plays Luke Cage, was expected to attend but was unable to make it due to a last-minute scheduling conflict.

Marvel has confirmed that all 4 street-level heroes will share the screen in Season 3, marking the first time they’ve appeared together since 2017. Fans at the panel were treated to exclusive first-look footage from the new season. The teaser featured a prison sequence in which Matt crafts a makeshift orange Daredevil suit from his prison uniform.

The footage also showed Jessica Jones and Danny Rand crossing paths again, including a scene of the pair meeting in an office and collecting police badges. Luke Cage also appeared in the teaser, confirming the team’s full return.

Not all the news was celebrated. When the panel confirmed that Season 3 will be the show’s final chapter, the announcement was reportedly met with loud boos from the crowd. Cox even joked about the cancellation, suggesting that fans’ “Save Daredevil” campaign would likely be gearing up for a second round. The final season is set to arrive on Disney+ early next year.

The Daredevil segment was part of Marvel Television and Marvel Animation’s “Up Next” panel. The event also featured the surprise premiere of ‘VisionQuest’ and the announcement of the new spy thriller series ‘Zodiac’.

For many fans, however, seeing the Defenders back together was the highlight. Ritter’s presence, along with her standout look, only added to the excitement. Online, fans flooded social media with praise for Ritter’s style and excitement over the reunion. Many said they had waited years to see the Defenders share the screen again.

Others expressed hope that the team’s return could lead to future projects beyond ‘Daredevil: Born Again’. For now, fans will have to wait for Season 3 to see the heroes in action once more.
