It’s widely known now that the debut of ‘Echo’ solidified Netflix’s Defenders Saga as part of canon. Primarily driven by the impending release of ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ this revelation underscores a significant shift.

Instead of a complete reboot, the series is evolving as a direct extension of Netflix’s previous iteration. Given the interconnected nature of the ‘Daredevil’ series with other shows, the Defenders Saga’s canon status is imperative. Among the standout characters in this interconnected universe is Jessica Jones, portrayed by Krysten Ritter.

Lately, the actress expressed her eagerness to revisit her past role, and now she’s dropped a tantalizing hint for her fans via her private Instagram account.

For those unfamiliar with the context of this image, in the comics, Jessica Jones sported pink hair during her tenure as the superhero known as ‘Jewel.’

Following a life-altering accident that granted her superhuman abilities, Jessica resolved to use her powers for noble deeds, crafting her own superhero identity. Clad in a snug pink costume, she took on the moniker ‘Jewel.’ However, unlike traditional superheroes, she didn’t attract a legion of reporters but did amass a dedicated following through numerous fan-created sites chronicling her heroic adventures.

However, her career veered off course when she crossed paths with Zebediah Killgrave, also known as the Purple Man, during an intervention at a restaurant.

Later on, Jessica adopted a new superhero identity.

Following the traumatic encounter with Killgrave, Jessica bid farewell to her Jewel persona and embarked on a reevaluation of her crime-fighting path. She revamped her costume, trading pink for a sleek black and red ensemble.

Under the alias ‘Knightress,’ Jessica began her stint as a vigilante, battling crime on her own terms. However, this phase proved short-lived as Jessica ultimately abandoned her vigilante career after just a week.

During one of her initial missions, she attempted to thwart the criminal endeavors of the Owl. By night’s end, she found herself playing the unexpected role of babysitter for the rescued children. It was during this vigilante escapade as Knightress that Jessica Jones first encountered Luke Cage.

Currently, there’s been no confirmation or even rumors about Jessica Jones appearing in the MCU. However, given the immense anticipation surrounding ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ perhaps the studio might reconsider other character revivals.
