Kumail Nanjiani Makes Stand-Up Comeback After a Decade with New Hulu Special
Kumail Nanjiani is stepping back into the world of stand-up comedy after a decade-long break. His new comedy special, set to premiere on Hulu, will be his first in 12 years since Beta Male in 2013. The title and release date are yet to be announced.
The special is produced by ITV America and TheYearOfElan, with Nanjiani, Elan Gale, and Bernie Schaeffer serving as executive producers.
Nanjiani is widely known for his work in both comedy and film. He starred in Silicon Valley and co-wrote The Big Sick, a movie based on his real-life love story with his wife, Emily V. Gordon.
His career also includes roles in major franchises like Marvel’s Eternals, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. He has earned both Oscar and Emmy nominations for his work.
His new stand-up special is part of Hulu’s Hularious comedy lineup, which features comedians such as Bill Burr, Ilana Glazer, and Sebastian Maniscalco. The platform is also expanding its comedy offerings with new specials and classic stand-up performances.
