Kylie Jenner Supports Timothée Chalamet at BAFTAs After Oscar Setback
Timothée Chalamet may have walked away from the BAFTAs without a trophy, but he certainly did not leave without support. His longtime partner, Kylie Jenner, was by his side at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday night to comfort the actor after his unexpected loss in the Best Leading Actor category.
The couple made a cozy appearance in the audience before heading to an exclusive post-awards dinner, where Jenner was seen playfully perched on Chalamet’s lap as they celebrated with friends.
While Chalamet had been the heavy favorite for his performance in the table tennis biopic Marty Supreme, having already secured wins at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards, the night belonged to British star Robert Aramayo.
Aramayo’s victory for the drama I Swear came as a major surprise to the industry, beating out not only Chalamet but also veteran Leonardo DiCaprio. The loss was a tough blow for Marty Supreme, which now holds a record for the most BAFTA losses without a single win, despite its high-profile status.
Observers inside the hall noted that Chalamet seemed somewhat distracted during the ceremony, frequently checking his phone and scrolling through iMessages. He was even spotted laughing at a meme a friend sent him of himself in the bold orange suit he wore to the film’s Los Angeles premiere.
Beside him, Jenner was the picture of Hollywood elegance, wearing a plunging black gown with silver jewelled detailing on the front. The couple’s rare joint appearance has reignited rumors about the future of their relationship after more than three years of dating.
According to sources close to the pair, they are already living together and have begun discussing the possibility of marriage. While Jenner opted to skip the traditional red carpet photo-op to avoid a media frenzy, her presence throughout the night made it clear that their bond is stronger than ever.

During his emotional acceptance speech, Robert Aramayo expressed total disbelief at his victory over such legendary screen icons. He told the star-studded crowd, I absolutely can’t believe this. I can’t believe I’m looking at people like you [Leonardo DiCaprio], never mind that I’m standing here.
He went on to praise his fellow nominees, specifically noting that everyone in this category blows me away. Aramayo also took a moment to thank Ethan Hawke for an influential speech he gave years ago at Juilliard.
He recalled that Hawke gave an amazing talk on longevity as an actor, protecting your instrument and avoiding self-destructive behaviours. As the cameras panned to the other nominees during the speech, DiCaprio was seen clapping politely while Chalamet offered a supportive smile for the rising star.
While the BAFTA results were a shock, the upcoming Oscars present a different landscape since Aramayo is not nominated for an Academy Award. The Best Actor race remains a tight battle between Chalamet, DiCaprio, Wagner Moura, Ethan Hawke, and Michael B. Jordan.
Despite the loss on Sunday, Chalamet’s portrayal of Marty Mauser remains a critical darling and a strong contender for the gold in March. As of this year, Timothée Chalamet remains one of the busiest actors in the world. Following the awards season run for Marty Supreme, he is shifting his focus to the release of Dune: Part Three.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film will see Chalamet reprise his role as Paul Atreides alongside Zendaya and Florence Pugh. He is also reportedly attached to a secret project titled High Side, which is currently in the early stages of development.
Kylie Jenner is equally productive, recently launching a major new campaign for her brand, Kylie Cosmetics. She continues to oversee her lifestyle empire while expanding her presence in the fashion world through selective appearances at major events like Paris Fashion Week.
Between her business ventures and her relationship with Chalamet, Jenner has effectively transitioned into a permanent fixture of the Hollywood elite. Marty Supreme, the film that brought Chalamet to the BAFTAs, is a stylized sports drama directed by Josh Safdie.
It follows an aspiring table tennis champion in the 1950s and features a diverse supporting cast, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Tyler, the Creator. Despite the lack of BAFTA hardware, the film has been a massive commercial success, grossing over $150 million at the global box office.
