La Diabla: The New Threat to Mutantkind To Be Featured on a Variant Cover in ‘X-Force’ #8!

‘X-Force,’ by Geoffrey Thorne and Marcus To, remains one of the most thrilling X-Men comics around! Led by Forge, this version of the mutant team is on constant missions to stop world-threatening dangers, but their success has been filled with betrayal, hidden secrets, and tough choices.

They recently encountered a mysterious villain, La Diabla, who seems to be behind the threat of Earth’s destruction.

A genius alchemist, her first appearance has left fans with more questions and confusion. To celebrate her introduction, artist Jay Anacleto has designed a special variant cover for ‘X-Force’ #8, showcasing La Diabla’s debut on the cover.

Geoffrey Thorne recently explained to ComicBook that La Diabla was created to challenge both Forge and Sage, as her alchemy contrasts with Forge’s scientific approach.

He wanted to introduce new villains with fresh powers and motives, with La Diabla being just the beginning. As X-Force uncovers more about her, so will the readers, but he warned that she should not be underestimated.

Geoffrey Thorne: La Diabla is formidable and very much designed to give both Forge and Sage fits. I wanted to put some new villains with new agendas and new powersets into the mix and La Diabla is just the first. As X-Force learns more about her, so will the audience but she is absolutely not to be trifled with or underestimated.
