Lady Gaga Shares Her Vision for Her First Encounter with Pattinson’s Batman, and Fan Reactions Are Divided

Just one week remains until the release of Joker: Folie à Deux, the sequel to the 2019 film Joker. This installment takes place two years after the first movie, featuring Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role, alongside the addition of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.

Given that the franchise is only loosely inspired by the comics, Lady Gaga revealed several months ago that her portrayal of the character will be uniquely her own.

This statement elicited mixed reactions from fans, with some arguing that if she’s not going to embody the essence of Harley Quinn, there’s no point in calling herself that, while others expressed excitement about what Lady Gaga has to offer.

Recently, Lady Gaga sat down with Jake’s Takes to promote the upcoming film, and one of her comments once again sparked a flurry of reactions. When asked by Hamilton how her character would respond upon seeing a guy named Batman, Gaga candidly stated that her version of Harley would probably set him on fire.

Hamilton: What do you think your Harley Quinn would say the moment she saw a guy named Batman.

Lady Gaga: She would probably light him on fire.

Hamilton: Quite literally, I really wanna see that moment to be honest with you.

Fans had plenty to say about this:

The chances of Lady Gaga encountering Pattinson’s Batman are virtually nonexistent, as the only potential Batman in their universe is young Bruce, the son of Thomas Wayne, who meets his tragic end at Arthur’s hands alongside his wife in the first film.

So, unless Lady Gaga intends to set a child on fire, that scene won’t unfold in Joker 2. What are your thoughts? Share them in the comments below!
