‘Lego: Star Wars’ Sequel Series Recruits Dan Stevens as Villainous Solitus

Dan Stevens is joining the galaxy far, far away, in Lego form. The actor has been cast as the new villain Solitus in Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, the animated sequel series coming to Disney+. The news comes from Disney and Lucasfilm, who shared the announcement along with details about the upcoming show.

Stevens will voice Solitus, a once-noble Jedi who turned dark after searching for Forcehold, a mysterious place filled with forgotten parts of the past. Solitus is set to become a major threat in the new adventure.

Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past continues the story that began in 2024’s Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. This time, the galaxy faces a new danger, and a strange team has to come together to stop it. Sig Greebling and Darth Dev team up, using their unique powers, Force Building and Sith Breaking, to take on the challenge.

With help from Jedi Bob, Yesi Scala, and Servo, they’ll travel deep into the Lego Star Wars universe to discover the lost pieces of all the galaxies before them.

The four-episode series is set to premiere on Disney+ on September 19. It comes from a partnership between Lucasfilm and the Lego Group, with Atomic Cartoons also helping produce the show.

Some of the voice cast from the first series is returning. Gaten Matarazzo is back as Sig Greebling, along with Tony Revolori as Darth Dev, Bobby Moynihan as Jedi Bob, Marsai Martin as Yesi Scala, Michael Cusack as Servo, and Ahmed Best as Darth Jar Jar. Mark Hamill also appears again, voicing Luke Skywalker in a special guest role. New cast members include Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano in Lego BrickHeadz form and Ben Schwartz as Jaxxon.

Dan Stevens joins this group with his new role as Solitus. He’s been busy lately, with recent roles in Cuckoo, Zero Day, Abigail, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. He also voiced a character in the Oscar-winning animated film The Boy and the Heron, and he’ll appear next in Godzilla x Kong: Supernova.

The sequel series is written and executive produced by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit. Chris Buckley directed it. Other executive producers include James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Jill Wilfert, Jason Cosler, and Keith Malone. Daniel Cavey and Dan Langlois are on board as producers.
