Lego’s Massive Executor Super Star Destroyer Is Officially the Longest Lego Star Wars Set Ever Made
Few spaceships in the ‘Star Wars’ saga command attention quite like the Executor. Darth Vader’s colossal flagship from ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’ has long been a symbol of the Galactic Empire’s power, and LEGO has now turned it into one of the most ambitious sets in the company’s history with the new Executor Super Star Destroyer.
The LEGO Group first unveiled the set in Billund, Denmark, on August 26, presenting it as part of its Ultimate Collector Series for adult fans aged 18 and up. LEGO Insiders were able to buy it starting October 1, with general sale opening on October 4.
The headline feature is its sheer size. The Executor Super Star Destroyer (75457) contains 6,130 pieces and stretches over 136 cm, or 53.5 inches, making it the longest LEGO ‘Star Wars’ brick-built model yet.
The record goes beyond the ‘Star Wars’ line. At 136 cm, the Executor beats the LEGO Titanic (10294), which measures 135 cm, by a single centimeter to become the longest LEGO model ever manufactured. The finished build also stands over 20 cm high and 50 cm wide, and weighs more than 5 kg. That means collectors will need a seriously large shelf to show it off.
LEGO has also embraced the scale in its design. The set comes with a built-in display stand and information plaque, plus a to-scale companion Star Destroyer, complete with a tiny ‘Millennium Falcon’ on a 1×1 round tile as a playful nod to the Executor’s colossal proportions.
Beyond the ship itself, the set includes a mini-build of the Executor’s bridge. The model also captures details like the vessel’s engines and its razor-sharp, dagger-like silhouette. There are 7 minifigures in total, including Darth Vader. Notably, the set brings all 6 of the film’s bounty hunters together in Minifigure form within a single set, a feature that’s sure to excite longtime fans.
Builders can also follow along using 3D instructions in the LEGO Builder app. The app lets fans save sets, track progress, and zoom in or rotate the model as they build. A build this big comes with a premium price tag. The set retails for $799.99, £649.99 and €749.99, while it’s listed at AU $1,299.99 in Australia.
On a piece-per-dollar basis, Tech Times notes the set works out to around 13 cents per piece. That’s slightly better value than the 2019 UCS Imperial Star Destroyer (75252), which cost approximately 14.6 cents per piece at launch.

Early buyers also get a bonus. Shoppers who purchase the Executor between October 1 and 7 receive the LEGO Darth Vader’s Lightsaber (40897) as a gift with purchase, while stocks last. Demand appears strong. Before release, resale listings for preorders on BrickEconomy ranged from $825 to more than $1,100, well above the official retail price.
Fans have also been comparing it to past attempts at the iconic ship. According to Tech Times, the community consensus is that this new version has significantly better proportions than its predecessor.
