‘Lessons in Chemistry’ is an upcoming drama series on Apple TV+, adapted by Lee Eisenberg from Bonnie Garmus’ novel under the same title. Premiering on October 13, 2023, the show portrays a female scientist named Elizabeth Zott (Brie Larson) in the 1950s, who, after being dismissed from her lab, takes up hosting a cooking show to educate housewives about science.
The series explores Elizabeth’s journey as she navigates societal barriers, with a cast including Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, and others. Against all odds in a patriarchal society, the show will explore Elizabeth’s determination to empower overlooked women while at the same time challenging social norms.
