The MCU is packed with upcoming projects, with ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ being the closest on the horizon. Among the confirmed ventures is ‘Black Panther 3’ and a series of Wakanda-focused stories in the Multiversal Saga. This includes Ryan Coogler’s Wakanda-Set Television Series, an Untitled Okoye Series, and the animated series ‘Eyes of Wakanda,’ slated for release in 2024.

Letitia Wright, known for her role as Shuri/Black Panther in the MCU, made a recent appearance on The View to promote ‘Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot,’ a film she produced. During the interview, Wright enthusiastically addressed whether there were plans for her to reprise her role as Shuri:

If it’s, uh, let’s just say, let’s just say…I would like to continue with Shuri. She’s one of my favorite characters, such a blessing, honestly, I kid you not. I’m so grateful for her.

When questioned about the possibility of ‘Black Panther 3’, Wright was cautious in her response, hinting at future developments. In January 2023, Letitia Wright indicated that a third installment of ‘Black Panther’ was in development, though Marvel has not yet made an official announcement.

Wright made her MCU debut in 2018’s ‘Black Panther’ as the younger sister of Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. The film was both a financial success and a cultural landmark, celebrated for its representation in the fantasy genre. Following Boseman’s tragic passing due to colon cancer, Marvel chose not to recast T’Challa for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ Wright’s character, Shuri, assumed the mantle of Black Panther in a move faithful to the comics, fulfilling fans’ expectations.
