Linda Hamilton Fights Aliens in First Intense Trailer For an Upcoming Sci-Fi Thriller

Linda Hamilton is back in action with a new sci-fi movie called Osiris, and it looks intense. The first trailer has just dropped, giving fans a peek at what’s coming. The movie is directed by William Kaufman and centers around a team of Special Forces soldiers who get caught in a terrifying situation far from Earth.

In Osiris, a military team is on a mission in an unknown location when things take a sudden turn—they’re abducted by a strange alien ship. Once on board, they realize they’re not just being held… they’re being hunted. The story follows the group as they try to survive, figure out what’s happening, and face off against a powerful alien race.

The cast includes Linda Hamilton, Max Martini, Brianna Hildebrand, Stanley White Jr., LaMonica Garrett, and Michael Irby. The movie was co-written by Kaufman and Paul Reichelt, and it’s produced by Andrew Lewis, Max Martini, Isaac Lewis, Jon Wroblewski, and Christian Sosa.

The trailer shows a tense and action-packed ride. It starts with a regular military mission but quickly jumps into chaos when the team is pulled into a terrifying new world. There’s also a twist: someone on the ship claims she’s been under alien control for years, making the team question what’s real and who they can trust.

In July 2023, news broke that a sci-fi action movie called Osiris was in the works. Directed and co-written by William Kaufman, the film wrapped up principal photography later that year in New Orleans. The cast includes Max Martini, Brianna Hildebrand, LaMonica Garrett, and Linda Hamilton, though their roles haven’t been officially revealed.

“Working with Max Martini for a second time, Linda Hamilton, Brianna Hildebrand and the legendary creature effects maestro Todd Masters, along with the rest of our exceptional cast and crew, to bring this old-school action sci-fi thriller to life was just incredible,” Kaufman said in a statement.  

“We filmed the movie as practically as possible from the aliens, set builds, and stunts – all to stay true to the movies we love. We are thrilled to partner with Vertical to reach a wide audience that will appreciate our approach.”

Pre-production was finished by spring 2024, and filming kicked off in New Orleans in March of the same year. The production ended up spending about $6.7 million while shooting on location in Louisiana. In May 2025, distribution rights for the film were picked up by Vertical.

Osiris promises a mix of action, suspense, and sci-fi thrills. The movie doesn’t have a release date yet, but from the looks of the trailer, Linda Hamilton fans are in for a wild ride.
