Livvy Dunne Teases Fans with Sizzling Preview Ahead of ‘Baywatch’ Reboot Role
Olivia “Livvy” Dunne is diving into acting with her new role in the upcoming Fox reboot of “Baywatch.” The 23-year-old social media star shared a glimpse of her preparation on Friday, posting photos of herself holding what appeared to be a script while wearing a red, lifeguard-style swimsuit.
“I’m not a lifeguard, but I play one on TV,” Dunne wrote in the caption of her Instagram post, which also included screenshots of media coverage about her casting. The news first broke on Thursday, and Dunne quickly took to X to express her excitement. “Time to get to work!!” she wrote.
Dunne will appear as Grace, a “highly enthusiastic junior lifeguard,” in a recurring role on the series. Although she has previously starred in an ongoing Fanatics Sportsbook ad campaign, this will mark her first true acting role.
The former LSU gymnast has long been interested in acting. She said earlier this month, “It’s something I’ve been passionate about for quite some time. I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you’re a student-athlete at school; school and sports, but really gymnastics was my main focus.” She added, “And now that I’m done with school, I have more time to lean into the acting stuff and the creative side of things.”
Fans also got a peek into her personal life, as Dunne mentioned that she missed Team USA pitcher Paul Skenes’ start against Mexico on Monday because of “work,” though it wasn’t specified whether this referred to her filming for “Baywatch.” Dunne and Skenes have been in a relationship for some time.
The new “Baywatch” reboot is set to premiere on Fox this fall. Dunne will join a cast including Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, Shay Mitchell, Brooks Nader, David Chokachi, Thaddeus LaGrone, and Noah Beck. With a mix of veteran actors and fresh faces, the show promises a modern take on the iconic lifeguard series.
