‘Locked’ Releases First Trailer: Anthony Hopkins and Bill Skarsgård Face Off in a High-Stakes Thriller

A new thriller is on the horizon, and it’s already generating significant buzz. ‘Locked,’ directed by David Yarovesky, is an English-language remake of the critically acclaimed Argentinian 2019 action film ‘4×4.’

In ‘Locked,’ a young thief finds himself trapped after what was supposed to be a routine robbery goes horribly wrong. What begins as a straightforward crime turns into a nightmare when he becomes ensnared in a seemingly inescapable situation. The film delves into themes of survival, desperation, and human nature under extreme pressure.

Hopkins brings his renowned gravitas to the role of William, a character whose motives and intentions remain shrouded in mystery. Skarsgård, best known for his role as Pennywise in’ It,’ takes on the role of Eddie, the young thief who becomes entangled in a dangerous situation.

Locked is being produced by ZQ Entertainment and Raimi Productions, with a team of renowned industry names behind it. David Yarovesky, known for his work on films like ‘Brightburn,’ takes the director’s chair, while Ara Keshishian and Petr Jákl serve as producers under the ZQ Entertainment banner. Sam Raimi, famous for his ‘Evil Dead’ series and ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy, produces alongside Zainab Azizi for Raimi Productions.

The film’s production journey began in early 2023 when Anthony Hopkins and Glen Powell were initially attached to the project. However, a casting change occurred when Bill Skarsgård replaced Powell, further adding intrigue to the film’s ensemble.

The movie will be released in theaters on March 21st.
