Tom Hiddleston has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for eleven years now, which makes him one of the longest-running actors in the franchise. Ever since he debuted as Loki, God of Mischief, in the first Thor movie in 2011, Hiddleston became a fan-favorite actor who got his own series last year on Disney+. The Loki series was the first Disney+ Marvel series that was renewed for the second season, which was announced in the post-credit scene of the first season.

The first season of the series followed 2012 Loki who, as we previously saw in Avengers: Endgame, escaped after the Battle of New York, and his next adventure started when he was arrested by TVA, where he met Mobius, who recruited him to help him catch Sylvie Laufeydottir, a variant of Loki who caused a Nexus event. By the end of the first series, Loki, Sylvie, and Mobius joined forces against the TVA, and this trio will return in the second season, which is currently in production.

The production of the second season began last month, and now we got some of the first on-set footage and images. The footage shows us Hiddleston and his co-star Owen Wilson filming in London, and images are showing a poster featuring Kumail Nanjiani’s Kingo, which will be some sort of the Eternals easter egg.

The second season will consist of six episodes written by Eric Martin, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead set to direct. The season will debut exclusively on Disney+. The premiere date is still TBA.
