Fans are buzzing with rumors that Loki might have his own team in Avengers: Doomsday. While nothing has been officially confirmed, sources suggest that the God of Mischief could be assembling a group of “time exiles” to play a key role in the upcoming blockbuster alongside other established teams such as the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men.

This lineup makes sense, as most of these characters have experienced disruptions or changes to their timelines in the MCU, setting the stage for an intriguing new team dynamic, so let’s check out the lineup.

1. & 2. Deadpool & Wolverine

This one is pretty straightforward. Deadpool managed to save his reality, but canonically, he has caused plenty of chaos with both time travel and the multiverse. It makes sense that he would be considered an exile in the larger scheme of things. Wolverine, on the other hand, never returned to his native reality after failing to save it when he had the chance. He currently resides in Deadpool’s reality, where, during the events of Logan, his variant died while being an anchor being of that reality.

    3. Captain Carter

The last time we saw Captain Carter was in the Season 3 finale of What If…?, where she made the ultimate sacrifice to save her team, the Guardians of the Multiverse. Using her newfound powers, she sends the Watchers, Uatu, and her companions to Strange Supreme’s universe. Tragically, Peggy does not survive the encounter, and her friends later honor her with a solemn funeral on the Observational Plane.

We also saw Captain Carter in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, although Scarlet Witch killed Carter by bisecting her with her own shield.

But if What If…? has taught us anything, it’s that there are countless variants out there. So theoretically, Captain Carter could return, especially since Hayley Atwell has been confirmed to reprise her role as Peggy Carter in the upcoming movie.

    4. Captain America (Nomad)

Chris Evans was confirmed to be in the movie some time ago, and rumors strongly suggest he’ll be playing Nomad, a variant of Captain America.

Nomad is an alternate identity Steve Rogers adopts in Captain America #180 (1974). In the comic, he gives up being Captain America after losing faith in the U.S. government and becomes a hero with no allegiance to any country.

A version of Nomad was hinted at in Avengers: Infinity War when Steve Rogers was on the run with Sam Wilson and Natasha Romanoff. Co-director Joe Russo explained that while Rogers wasn’t officially Nomad, he captured “the spirit of that character.”

What remains unclear is how this version of Nomad would connect to Loki and the Multiverse.

    5. Sylvie

Sylvie has always been “out of place and out of time,” which is why the TVA spent most of her life chasing her across timelines and the multiverse. When Loki sacrificed himself to become the God of Stories—granting Sylvie and nearly every being in the multiverse freedom, she chose to simply roam. In one of the final scenes of Loki Season 2, Sylvie admitted she had no idea where she was headed, but we might have a good guess: Avengers: Doomsday.

    6. Gambit

You might think Gambit will join the X-Men in the upcoming movie, but that’s not the case, he’s not from the same reality as them. Gambit was introduced in Deadpool & Wolverine, but not as a variant from Deadpool’s (Fox) reality; he comes from an unknown universe, since Deadpool first encountered him in the Void.

What happens to Gambit after the movie remains unclear. Deadpool and Wolverine escape the Void by jumping through an inter-dimensional portal just before Alioth could devour them.

After their victory, Gambit wanders through the compound, passing over the bodies of Psylocke and Toad. He then turns to find a new inter-dimensional portal has opened behind him, staring into it with a knowing smile.

    7. Hunter B-15

B-15, also known as Verity Willis, became the leader of the TVA following the events of Loki Season 2. She also appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine, helping clean up the chaos caused by Mr. Paradox after he attempted to speedrun the destruction of Deadpool’s universe. After arresting Mr. Paradox and sparing Deadpool’s universe, she got her “happily ever after” with Peterpool. Beyond that, her next moves remain unknown, but it makes perfect sense for her to potentially align with Loki.

And there you have it. Keep in mind that Loki’s team was never confirmed by the official sources. The rumor was reported by Austin Medeiros on X.
