‘Lupin the IIIRD: The Immortal Bloodline’ Is Coming to North American Theaters for 3-Night Event – Check Out The Trailer
Lupin the IIIRD: The Movie – The Immortal Bloodline, the latest entry in the long-running Lupin III anime series, is heading to North American theaters early next year.
The film will have a special three-night run from January 4 to 6, 2026, with screenings available in Japanese with English subtitles and an English-dubbed version.
Directed by Takeshi Koike and written by Yūya Takahashi, the release serves as the final chapter in the Lupin the IIIrd saga. The story revisits elements from the franchise’s very first movie, Lupin III: The Mystery of Mamo, while presenting an entirely original narrative within Koike’s Lupin the IIIrd universe.

The film features an ensemble cast of well-known voice actors, including Kanichi Kurita as Lupin the Third, Akio Ōtsuka as Daisuke Jigen, Daisuke Namikawa as Goemon Ishikawa XIII, Miyuki Sawashiro as Fujiko Mine, and Koichi Yamadera as Inspector Zenigata. Additional cast members include Kataoka Ainosuke VI, Aoi Morikawa, Mogura Suzuki, and Katamari Mizukawa.
Produced by TMS Entertainment and animated by Telecom Animation Film, Lupin the IIIRD: The Immortal Bloodline is the first traditionally animated solo Lupin film in 30 years since 1996’s Dead or Alive. The film was originally announced in late 2024, with its full title and release date revealed in April.
Fans also got a prequel earlier this year titled Lupin the IIIrd: Zenigata and the Two Lupins, which premiered on streaming platforms in Japan on June 20. The movie’s theme song, “THE IIIRD Eye,” is performed by the popular rock duo B’z.
This North American release is an exciting opportunity for longtime fans and new viewers to experience the latest Lupin adventure on the big screen. With its classic animation style and high-stakes storytelling, the film promises a thrilling continuation of the beloved series.
