Magi Anime Watch Order: Series, OVAs & Spin-off
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is a manga by Shinobu Ohtaka. It was published between June 2009 and October 2017 in Shōgakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine, and was compiled into a total of 37 volumes. A twenty-five-episode anime television series adaptation by studio A-1 Pictures aired between October 2012 and March 2013. A second season named The Kingdom of Magic aired between October 2013 and March 2014. A spin-off series named Sinbad no Bōken, drawn by Yoshifumi Ōtera, was also published between 2013 and 2018 in the digital magazine Ura Sunday. Several adaptations in original video animation are marketed with the manga, and a new anime was released in April 2019. Magi: Adventure of Sinbad (OVA, 2014–2015)
Before the release of Adventure of Sinbad, a five-part OVA series was released from May 16, 2014 to July 15, 2015. Although it set up the Adventure of Sinbad anime series, it actually takes places after the anime series. The two adventures were “The Capture of Dungeon Baal” (two episodes) and “The Capture of Dungeon Valefor” (three episodes). This is the series in overview:
