Adria Arjona has spent the past few months proving that she can move between worlds. She went from a feral action-thriller lead to a front-row fashion presence, all while the internet keeps trying to guess which DC character she’s really playing.

Her fall has been packed. She walked the runway at Vogue World Milano, shopped in Milan with boyfriend Jason Momoa, and then hit one of Hollywood’s biggest red carpets at the Academy Museum Gala on October 17.

Now Arjona has offered a calmer glimpse of her world. Film account Cinesthetic shared a new Instagram photo of the actress on October 19, and it’s a far cry from the glittering gala look.

In the portrait, Arjona wears a plush white robe, her dark hair pulled into a sleek, high bun with a slightly damp, glowing finish. A delicate gold chain with a small pendant rests at her collarbone, and she poses against a backdrop of soft green foliage. The image keeps the focus on her natural skin and warm, understated styling.

The new photo lands just 2 days after her Academy Museum Gala appearance. There she wore a strapless black column gown with a sculpted white neckline, styled with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, and W Magazine credited the dress to Rasario.

Deadline’s video of her arrival drew a lot of attention, and fans on social media were quick to praise the high-contrast look. Her sleek slicked-back hair at the gala echoes the polished updo in her latest Instagram shot.

Arjona’s 2026 has been defined by ‘Onslaught’, the A24 action thriller from director Adam Wingard that has been in theaters since September. She plays a PTSD-stricken Army sniper who must protect her young daughter after a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers descends on her desert trailer park.

The film also stars Drew Starkey and Dan Stevens, with newcomer Blake Kennedy playing her on-screen daughter. Arjona has said that, stepping into the lead role, she took inspiration from how Diego Luna would approach it, a nod to her time on ‘Andor’.

Then there’s the question fans can’t stop asking. Arjona is part of James Gunn’s ‘Man of Tomorrow’, the sequel to ‘Superman’, but DC Studios hasn’t officially confirmed which character she plays.

Several reports, including SYFY Wire, have described her as playing Maxima, while a vocal portion of fans keeps campaigning for her to be DC’s next Wonder Woman. Gunn recently pushed back on the speculation after actor Frank Grillo reposted a fan-made image of Arjona in Wonder Woman’s tiara, telling people they’d been making far too much of it.

Arjona has been careful with her words. She told Den of Geek, “He gave me my first movie ages ago,” referring to Gunn and ‘The Belko Experiment’, adding that he’s still the same guy she met years ago. She has also admitted she gets nervous whenever the subject comes up because she’s terrible at keeping secrets.

Her calendar remains full. Before ‘Man of Tomorrow’ arrives on July 9, 2027, she’ll be seen in the remake of ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ opposite Michael B. Jordan, due in theaters on March 5.

She’s also stepping into the DC Universe alongside Momoa, who played Lobo in ‘Supergirl’ and cheered her on at the ‘Onslaught’ premiere. The couple has become a regular presence on red carpets and fashion week front rows. Whether she’s in a bathrobe photo, a couture gown, or covered in desert dust on screen, Arjona has become one of the most closely watched actresses of the season.

Her mix of mainstream franchise momentum and indie credibility, from ‘Hit Man’ to ‘Andor’, keeps fans hungry for every update. For now, her latest Instagram portrait offers a peaceful pause in a whirlwind year. Whatever role she ultimately plays in the DC Universe, the attention isn’t going anywhere.

Which DC character do you think Adria Arjona is playing in ‘Man of Tomorrow’?
