Margot Robbie Sizzles in See-Through Black Lace on Jimmy Kimmel Live
Margot Robbie is swapping the bright, playful world of Barbie for a darker, more intense vibe as she kicks off the press tour for her latest movie, Wuthering Heights. The actress made a bold statement on Jimmy Kimmel Live on January 27, wearing a dramatic black lace Alexander McQueen outfit that immediately drew attention.
The gothic-inspired ensemble featured sharp tailoring and intricate lace, reflecting the dark romance of the Emily Brontë adaptation. Fashion critics praised the look as a perfect match for the film’s moody and intense tone.

Speaking about her role as Catherine Earnshaw, Robbie told reporters, I felt like I couldn’t find Cathy for so long, and it was freaking me out. Usually I do so much prep, and I did prep a lot this time, but, you know, less. Her comments highlight the deep personal connection she felt while preparing for the part.
The film is directed by Emerald Fennell, who worked with Robbie on Barbie and the thriller Saltburn. Fennell’s version of Wuthering Heights has been described as primal and s****, moving away from traditional period drama expectations.
Robbie stars alongside Jacob Elordi, who plays the brooding Heathcliff. Speaking to British Vogue, she praised her co-star, saying, I saw him play Heathcliff. And he is Heathcliff. I honestly think he’s our generation’s Daniel Day-Lewis. The movie also features a strong supporting cast, including Hong Chau as Nelly Dean and Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton. Wuthering Heights will hit theaters on February 13, just in time for a dark Valentine’s Day experience.
Outside of the moors of Yorkshire, Robbie has been busy with other projects. She recently wrapped the sci-fi romance A Big Bold Beautiful Journey with Colin Farrell and will appear in the Ocean’s Eleven prequel, reuniting with Ryan Gosling. Her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, continues to develop a variety of film and TV projects.
Robbie’s appearances during the press tour have emphasized her versatility as both an actress and a fashion icon. Whether she’s wearing casual outfits in Los Angeles or high-fashion McQueen on stage, she continues to draw attention.
Margot Robbie’s transition from Barbie to the dark, stormy world of Wuthering Heights shows her range as an actress and her commitment to challenging roles. What do you think about her move from bright and playful to dark and dramatic? Share your thoughts in the comments.
