Margot Robbie has been turning heads on the red carpet while promoting her new film, Wuthering Heights, and her stunning figure has fans talking even more. Just a year after giving birth to her first child with husband Tom Ackerley in October 2024, the 35-year-old actress has revealed the hard work behind her post-baby transformation.

Her personal trainer, David Higgins, shared insights with Women’s Health about the combination of strength training and reformer Pilates that Margot relies on. She starts with a quick warm-up on a foam roller, followed by exercises like chest presses, bent-over rows, bicep curls, shoulder presses, and skull crushers.

She finishes with an intense ab routine that includes 20 crunches, toe taps on each side, and curtsy lunges, repeating the set five times to total 500 reps. “I stick to durations over reps when using a reformer machine,” David explained, emphasizing that Margot usually spends about two minutes on each exercise.

Cardio is not a focus for Margot, but her full-body strength sessions serve as a kind of “secret cardio.” “By doing a full-body workout, your heart has to work hard to redirect the blood to the correct part of your body as and when you work it – from your upper-body to your lower-, for example,” David said. Margot can also hold a plank for an impressive four minutes and 10 seconds, showing the dedication behind her sculpted core.

The actress and her trainer work together five days a week for 45–60 minutes per session, often tailoring the routine based on how her body feels. Margot has been consistent with her training for years, and David noted that even with a busy film schedule, she always fits in her workouts.

When it comes to diet, Margot balances indulgence with clean eating, depending on the event. She enjoys treats like beer, fries, and burgers but cleans up her diet before a premiere.

Breakfast might be porridge with blackberries or a green smoothie, lunch could include lemon chicken with brown rice or a mackerel salad, and dinner is often tuna steaks with sweet potato or a vegetable hot pot with rice noodles. “I’m not good at doing moderation. I get miserable if I don’t eat,” she admitted to Emirates Woman.

Despite her glamorous appearance, Margot prioritizes strength over skinniness. For her role as Jane in The Legend of Tarzan, she skipped strict training to enjoy London pubs instead, saying, “It’s the 19th century – if she’s got a bit of weight on her, it’s probably a good thing. I’m not going to look thin just for the sake of it.”

Margot Robbie’s post-baby body shows that dedication, consistency, and smart training matter more than extreme diets or endless cardio. Her approach combines discipline with flexibility, showing that you can enjoy food, life, and still stay strong and fit.
