Marvel and Disney Bring Alien’s Horror to WEBTOON
WEBTOON is adding another big name to its growing lineup. After rolling out Spider-Man and Star Wars in digital comic form, the platform is now set to feature Alien through a partnership with Disney and Marvel.
Collider reports that the new series will go live tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
The release adapts Alien: Bloodlines, a Marvel comic series first published in 2021. The story takes place after James Cameron’s Aliens and continues the sci-fi horror world that Ridley Scott began with the original film. At the center of the plot is Gabriel Cruz, a former employee of the Weyland-Yutani corporation.
Cruz once faced the Xenomorph and lived to tell the tale. Now retired, he hopes to reconnect with his son with help from an android modeled after Bishop. But his past comes back quickly, and he learns his family may not escape the terror he thought he left behind.

The project was created with the support of 20th Century Studios. The series was written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson, a veteran writer who has worked with both DC and Marvel, and the art was handled by Salvador Larroca, known for his work on X-Men. Collider shared that a preview shows Gabriel in a tense moment surrounded by danger as the Xenomorph draws near.
This marks one more step in Disney’s plan with WEBTOON to bring its stories to a new digital audience. Alongside Marvel and Star Wars, the deal also includes adaptations of Disney’s classic films. In total, around 100 stories are expected to land on the app in the coming years.
Alien’s arrival on WEBTOON gives fans another way to experience the franchise, this time on their phones in a format built for scrolling. The new series will be available on the English-language app starting tonight.
