In Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con today, Marvel Studios revealed the first official trailer for the upcoming MCU movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, a sequel to 2018’s Black Panther movie and the 30th movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Kevin Feige also announced that Wakanda Forever is set to be the final movie of Phase 4!

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was first announced by Kevin Feige and Chadwick Boseman at D23 Expo in August 2019. Unfortunately, one year after that, Boseman tragically passed away from colon cancer. Feige confirmed in December 2020 that the studio will not look for another actor to replace Boseman, but the mantle of Black Panther will be given to one of the other characters. The official title, Wakanda Forever, was released in May 2021, and now we finally got the first official trailer, which you can check out below:

Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole, who wrote the first Black Panther movie, return to write the sequel, and Coogler also returned to direct the sequel. Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett are all set to reprise their roles from the first movie. Dominique Thorne is set to make her MCU debut as Riri Williams/Ironheart before her own standalone series on Disney+. Tenoch Huerta is set to star as the movie’s main villain.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be the 30th movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the final movie of Phase 4! It is set to be released on November 11, 2022!
