After fully becoming Scarlet Witch, one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff is set to return in the upcoming movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

“You break the rules and become the hero. I do it and I become the enemy. That doesn’t seem fair.”

Ever since her debut in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Wanda became one of the most powerful Avengers, but her powers and sense of loss were actually walking her down the thin line between a hero and a villain, which escalated in her own Disney+ series WandaVision last year.

Although Wanda basically enslaved the whole town in her own imagination, she still wasn’t really the villain (which caused some criticism) once she encountered Agatha Harkness, an evil witch played by Kathryn Hahn, who will return in her own spin-off series. Once she defeated Agatha, Wanda escaped town and stranded herself in some shack in the middle of nowhere.

But, as we have already seen in the trailer, Doctor Strange will find her and ask her for her help, and it’s got something to do with the Multiverse. And if someone as powerful as Doctor Strange needs another pair of powerful hands to help him, then this upcoming threat surely isn’t something you want to mess with.

Directed by Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6, 2022. But still, less than two months before the release, Cumberbatch recently revealed that he’s still filming some reshoots. What the hell are they preparing for this movie?
