Marvel’s Moon Knight: Disney+ Releases Photos From The Launch Event
All-New Original Series from Marvel Studios Debuts Exclusively on Disney+ Beginning March 30
Tonight in Hollywood, stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, and May Calamawy along with cast members Antonia Salib, Ann Akinjirin, David Ganly, Sofia Danu, Karim El Hakim, Fernanda Andrade, Shaun Scott, Rey Lucas, and Díana Bermudez, joined directors Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, head writer Jeremy Slater, and executive producers Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum and Grant Curtis for a walk down the red carpet at the special Launch Event for Marvel Studios’ “Moon Knight,” an original series streaming exclusively on Disney+ beginning March 30.
Oscar Isaac, known for starring in Marvel movies X-Men: Apocalypse, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, will play his third Marvel role — the role of Moon Knight on Disney+. Isaac also starred in Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy as Poe Dameron, and last year we watched him in Denis Villeneuve’s epic sci-fi blockbuster Dune. Ethan Hawke will play Moon Knight’s main villain Arthur Harrow, a cult leader.
The story follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, and May Calamawy. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Grant Curtis, Brad Winderbaum, Oscar Isaac, Mohamed Diab, and Jeremy Slater are the executive producers, with Trevor Waterson and Rebecca Kirsch serving as co-executive producers. Jeremy Slater is the head writer.
