Marvel’s Secret Invasion: New Images From Set Reveal Nick Fury’s New Look
Every MCU fan knows that the timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is quite complex. But let’s stick to what we know. We know that Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos first met in Captain Marvel movie, which was set in the ‘90s. Then we have all that MCU stuff that happened — Tony Stark becoming Iron Man, Thor coming to Earth, Captain America coming out of the ice, assembling the Avengers, blah blah blah — but let’s fast forward to the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home. In which we saw that shapeshifter Talos pretended to be Fury during that whole movie, while Fury was somewhere off-world.
That’s a pretty big jump in the MCU timeline between Captain Marvel and Far From Home. And although we mostly know what was happening with Fury in meantime, we have no idea how Talos is back in the story again. But, we’re expecting to find out once the upcoming miniseries Secret Invasion, which is currently in production, premieres on Disney+. From the set images that recently surfaced on social media, we can see Nick Fury’s whole new look, without his signature eye-patch and with some sort of Santa Claus beard. We can also see that Talos will return in his human form. Images are seemingly confirming that this dynamic duo will be back on Earth.

Other images from the set are also showing the first look at Emilia Clarke, which we already wrote about, and additional images also showed us the return of Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill. We cannot wait to see this whole gang back in action.
Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, and Cobie Smulders return to reprise their respective MCU roles. Kingsley Ben-Adir will play the main villain of the series. Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo also star. Marvel’s Secret Invasion is currently in production. The series will consist of six episodes, and it’s expected to premiere in late 2022.
